North Seattle Orthodonist Office

Earlier this month we talked about the importance of making all your appointments and eating properly.  Having GOOD HYGIENE is another important thing that patients can do to stay on pace with their anticipated deband day.

With the many different wires and brackets in your mouth, it’s important to brush your teeth at least twice a day.  It may be helpful to invest in an electric toothbrush during this time, as it’s a great way to apply a consistent brushing technique to your braces. Be sure to floss daily, preventing plaque buildup between teeth and gums, and allowing braces to do their work properly. The healthier your gums and teeth are, the more likely your teeth will be able to move fast and you’ll be able to get your braces off on schedule or maybe even early!
