Dr. Elizabeth Lyons
Dr. Elizabeth Lyons is dedicated to providing her patients with exceptional orthodontic care. With over 11 years of experience she has created thousands of beautiful smiles in Seattle.
Dr. Lyons completed a degree in physics from Geneseo College and a degree in biomechanical engineering from Columbia University in New York. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Stony Brook University where she graduated at the top of the class and earned numerous awards including the James Horn award for Pediatric Dentistry and the American Association of Orthodontics Student award. She moved to Seattle and completed her residency in orthodontics at the University of Washington.
A Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. Lyons stays on the cutting-edge of her profession by maintaining memberships in the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Washington State Society of Orthodontists, and the Washington and King County Dental Associations. She is a director on the University of Washington Orthodontic Alumni Association board. She is also chair of the Seattle King County Dental Society Communications committee and an ambassador to new dentists for SKCDS.
When not in the office, Dr. Lyons enjoys spending her time with her husband and two children. She loves reading, skiing, running and cooking for family and friends. She stays involved with the community and schools coaching sports teams, volunteering at her church and even serving school lunches.
Dr. Roy Gunsolus
Highly educated, Dr. Roy Gunsolus received a degree in biology and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington. He completed his residency in orthodontics at the University of California, and has been an affiliate professor at the University of Washington Department of Orthodontics since 1984.
To keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology, Dr. Gunsolus is a member of many prestigious professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Washington State Society of Orthodontists, the Washington and King County Dental Associations, and the Angle Soceity of Orthodontists. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
While an avid competitive sailor and advocate of youth sailing, much of Dr. Gunsolus' free time is focused on his family. In addition to his wife, Barbara, his family includes three grown children and five grandchildren.
